Help companies survive COVID-19 crisis

On 10 March 2020, Thai Cabinet approves 10 measures to help companies survive COVID-19 crisis. In 10 measures, 4 measures on tax or contribution to Social Security Funds are included. The main points are followings:

1.Reducing withholding tax rate on all income from services, 3% to 1.5%.

2.Allowing SMEs (annual income < 500 MB, Employees < 200 persons , Single account preparation accounting period closing before or at 30/9/2019) to deduct 3 times the salary expenses paid in April 2020 to July 2020.

3.Dissemination of VAT refunds to domestic companies(only good exporters) within 15 days after filing forms.

4. Reducing contribution to Social Security Funds by employer and employees. (no conditions are decided yet) .
